Wonderful Weekend

So I had a wonderful weekend. Melissa, Aaron, Alison and Martha all came up. So that was fun, and I took advantage of the terrific weather and went for a walk today. So I have no substantial news about which to update, so this is just a mini-entry. This is all for now.

Magic Sand

So my eldest sister, Melissa, is visiting this weekend, and with her she brought me a birthday present! She got me a beautiful pair of sandals which I love, and a terrific toy - Wonder Sand. Now, you might be thinking "well the title of this entry says it's Magic Sand" and the explanation for that can be found later on in the entry.

When I was little, there was a toy that was this magic sand that coudl stay dry even in the water and I really wanted it. Although, like many of the other super fun toys I desired as young child.... I never got it. So finally this weekend, Melissa got it for me.

After a long day on the computer and eating sugar on snow, I decided I needed some relax time to try out my Wonder Sand! So, Martha and I filled a bowl with water and poured in some of the Wonder Sand. But Martha kept calling it magic sand, so now I can't stop. It also came with a shovel and a rake, which are now referred to as a magic shovel and a magic rake. So anyways, we looked on the back of the box for some pointers as to what kind of fun we could have with the Magic Sand. It suggested we build a tower (and showed a picture of a bridge below), it also said we could build bridges (and showed a picture of a tower directly below). So, we proceeded to build plenty of bridge like towers, and tower likes bridges.

Although, we soon found out that if the sand could collect above the water and float around on top. Then we developed a technique to keep all the sand below the water. Although, once that was complete, Martha threatened to show my sand what it was like to be above water! Dun dun dunnn....

Finally, we tired of the magic sand and decided to put it away. So we used the spoon they provided us with and put it through the funnel back into the container. After a few scoops went into the container, I asked Martha if she thought it was okay to get water in the container. She thought it would be fine. So we put plenty of water and plenty of sand back into the container. Then, thanks to the water in the container, there was magically no room for the rest of the sand! So after a breif laughing fit, we gave up. Thus concludes the adventures of Wonder Sand, the toy that will provide you with minutes of extreme fun and a bunch of leftover sand!

Soon

Don't fret, more updates are on their way. After my flurry of updates the other night, I need to take some time and collect my thoughts. That way, you'll get a well thought out update that may actually have a point. And as soon as I feel inspired to do so, I plan to share my thoughts on "America's Next Top Model," the excellent tv show. Although, if you aren't a fan of the show, I still reccomend you read that entry, because a) who would ever skip out on reading a Lib entry and b) I plan to present both the good and bad aspects of the show. So that and more will be coming soon!

Correction

Ok, third update of the night. I need to cool it with the updates, but I'm on a roll! I just really had to point out that in my last entry when I was listing the requirements for rollerblading, I accidentally typed 1) blabla d) blabla 3) blabla. As opposed to the more commonly used, 2) bla bla. Most people would have just corrected it and pretended it never happened, but not Lib! Here at Daghlian.net/lib, we like to provide you with an honest perception of your beloved writer, mistakes and all. In fact, we embrace our mistakes (oops, this can't be good that I started talking as if I'm more than one person, haha, but then again, that only happens to the best of us - us being good, dedicated writers). So this really is all for tonight. Hope you've enjoyed your visit to daghlian.net/lib. Come again.

Rollerblading

I realize I just updated, but I felt compelled to add this. I was just discussing my spring plan of rollerblading with my good friend Kate. When I originally became interested in rollerblading, it hadn't occured to me the commitment it would take on my part. There's a lot more to it than simply the rollerblades themselves! So, for any of you who are similarly interested in rollerblading, I've provided (thanks in large part to Kate) a list of requirements for rollerblading:

1) big, clunky rollerblades

2) spandex, preferably brightly colored

3) walkman that only plays tapes

4) Prince blaring from the headphones

5) a side pony tail secured loosely with a scrunchie

So, next time you plan on rollerblading, make sure you've checked this list! And thank you Kate, I'd be totally lost in the world of rollerblading had it not been for your most valuable advice.

No More Comments

This is a sad day ladies and gentlemen, for you are no longer able to leave me any comments. My dearest brother decided to exercise his totalitarian like power over the daghlian.net webpages and banish comments, leaving me commentless. But, I plan to rise above this challange of no comments, because daghlian.net/lib can face any challange. Daghlian.net/lib laughs in the face of no comments. Haha.

Although in all seriousness, the reason for abolishing comments was because they were apparently getting spammed, according to Josh. Mine weren't, but that's alright. I am well aware that the point of this site is not to recieve comments. In fact, this may be a good time to announce the mission statement of daghlian.net/lib!

I here at Daghlian.net/lib, feel it is my duty to inform you with the latest going on's of Lib, with an insight to her brilliant inner thoughts. This site aims to brighten your day, if not with the wonderful text, then with a reminder that Lib is only a website away.

So there you have it! I hope I haven't shocked you too much with my incredible modesty. Oh, and as an update to an earlier entry, I did not get a part in the play "The Importance of Being Earnest." But, what can you do? This hasn't dampened by spirits in the slightest, because I already have big plans for this spring. My main objective being, be outside! I plan to take full advantage of nice weather by playing tennis with Alice (my tennis buddy), and rollerblading (with whoever wants to go, but Alice is the only one who expressed any interest, so she'll be my rollerblading buddy too).

So, I hope you enjoyed this rather interesting entry. I found it interesting at least. Although, I can't help but wonder how well sarcasim can be interpreted through writing. Because if you can't pick out what is sarcastic in here, and what isn't, well then I'm not going to help you figure it out, so you can just be confused and think I'm odd. That's all!

Pedigree

I just completed my Pedigree Project for bio. We're learning about genetics right now, so we were assigned this project. We had to find out if memebers of our family 1. could roll their tongue, 2. had attached earlobes, 3. had a chin cleft, 4. mid digit hair and 5. widow's peak. So it was an interesting project. I called a lot of people I hadn't talked to in a while, so that was neat.

Other than that, I've had a pretty uneventful weekend, which is always nice. I had a soccer game today, which we lost 4-2, but it was fun anyway. Alright, well now I'm too distracted my "Alias" to continue updating. This is all for now.

Lib's Misfortune

This is, and I cannot think of any other word that is sufficient, an unfortunate situation. I had just strolled into my third period math class today, and reached into my backpack for a book, when alas! I got a papercut! Now this on it's own is enough to be deemed unfortunate, but what truly made this situation unfortunate was the location of the papercut. To my dismay, the papercut is right under my fingernail! Doesn't that suck? I am truly crippled. Truly...

Aside from that, I've had a pretty normal day. I just returned home from the winter sports banquet, and not much to report there. I also am auditioning for "The Importance of Being Earnest," which will be directed by Molly Tarter. I thought it'd be fun to be in a play, so if I get it, then that would be cool, and if I don't, that's cool too. Although, the only downside of possibly doing the play and doing the dance performance is that I can't go to this YES conference thing (Kate, if there's a link, you should give it to me). It's some environment thing. I don't really know the details, but it looked fun. Unfortunately though, it is the same weekend as the dance performance... Oh well. So that's all for today.

Wonderful News

Today is Jessie Plagge's birthday! I haven't talked to her in forever, but she is, or I guess was my favorite baby-sitter. She was always saying to Martha and I (while we watched cartoons on tv) "Come on guys, let's do something productive." Well today I did something productive....

I quit my job! After trying out the job for two days I decided it just was not for me. Mixed in with school, homework, tennis, tap, soccer, wanting to hang out with my friends and possibly being involved in Molly Tarter's play it was more than I wanted to deal with all at once. Not to mention that I wasn't crazy about the job in the first place. It was a little to job-ish for me, so I'm looking into other job options for the summer. I'm mainly hoping to get a job at the VINS summer camp. So it was a very stressful week making the realization that getting this job was a mistake, but it's all resolved now and in the future I'll be more careful before I make a commitment like that.

On another note, tomorrow's my birthday! Fun. And the next day is Myrto and Beth's birthdays, followed closely (on Thursday) by Aaron's birthday! Lots of March birthdays.

Speaking of March... When the discussion of favorite months comes up, I usually hear people say they hate March. This is always rather perplexing to me, because I think we all know March is an incredibly awesomely wonderful month. So earlier today, while talking to Emmett (FitzGerald), I came to the brilliant conclusion that people just have a love/hate relationship with March. They love to hate it. I know that everyone would dearly miss March if it were somehow miraculously eliminated from the year. But don't worry, that won't happen! So we can continue to (secretly) love March!

Great Big Sea

So I'm sure you were all just dying for an explanation of my lack of updates recently. Well it just so happens that I've been actually very busy this week. I had my first indoor soccer game on Sunday and it was really fun. We won 7-1, Alice had a goal and I had an assist. Also, I was very pleased that I wasn't dying of tiredness. That was nice.

So that brings us to Monday. I had school then tap. Tap was a half hour longer though because we didn't have it last week. So that was alright.

Tuesday we all had to take the NSRE's because of the "No Child Left Behind Act." Sophmores had math on Tuesday and English on Wednesday. They were both incredibly easy. Tuesday night, I had my first day of work at Angeleno's. I'm not sure how much I like it yet, I'm thinking it's not really my thing. But, I'm going to stick with it for a while and see how it goes. Luckily I have the luxury of doing that because I'm not exactly in dire need of a job. It's mainly to give me something to do during the summer and have extra spending money. So we'll see.

Alright, well onto Wednesday. So we took the English NSRE and then went to a Great Big Sea concert, hence the title "Great Big Sea." It was at the Higher Ground which is a really cool place, I had never been there. Although unfortunately they're planning to tear it, and some other buildings around it down and put up some new dumb building. Obviously I'm not entirely clear on the details. But it was a very fun night.

So now what do you know, it's Thursday. I had tennis tonight and am now relaxing on the couch. I also just looked at the most recent photos of Sophers and she's looking very cute! I caught myself thinking for a moment that she looked kind of like baby Alison. Although, I realized that must just be because of the fact that they're both babies, because it wouldn't make much sense for them to look alike seeing as they aren't exactly blood related. So that fills you in on the events of the week. Maybe later I'll have something of substance to write about, but this is what you get for now.

Studying

Recently, I got a math quiz back that I hadn't done so well on. I got a lot of the answers right, but made a lot of careless mistakes like not doing parenthesis or writing "y=". (Luckily, an extra-credit opportunity has arisen and I am taking advantage of that, cause I really need to). Anyways, so when I heard there was going to be a bio quiz, I didn't want to see another unsatisfying grade so I decided to actually study well. I usually do fine on the bio quizzes, although often leaving a little room for improvement. Although this time, thanks in large part to Kate and her wonderful quizzing, I had no room left for improvement, so I was very pleased. And no, I wasn't writing this entry to brag (haha, because I'm so modest), I was writing it mainly to inform you of the lesson I recently learned (which I'm sure you all know, being the intelligent group you are) that reading over your notes once and hoping you know it isn't really studying. (I'm not totally positive if I'm coming off as a terrible student or as really conceited with my bio grade. Then again, it doesn't really matter because you all know me, unless you're some random weirdo who just so happened to stumble upon this wonderful site, in which case I'll let you make up your own mind on what kind of student I am. Incase that run-on sentence wasn't enough of an indication.)Update:Ok, fine so that wasn't a run-on sentence (as pointed out by Martha, see comment below), but I'm sure there was something wrong with it. If not, there goes my point.

Phew, so I'm done that long rant. Now to my other business, before I am forced the leave the computer and head to bed. Good job to the boys basketball team for winning tonight! Alright, well I am off to bed so that I may have some chance of getting up on time for school.
