More Tennis
I went to tennis practice today and it was very fun! I'm getting the hang of all the different swings. I'm also very excited that it's Friday! Well, I don't have much to say besides that.
Goal for tomorrow: get some excersize
There's a funny picture (that Abra also sent me in an email) here

71st Entry
This is my 71st entry, as you can see from the title. Because of my lack of things to say, I had no title for my entry, but this will do. Hmm, I really don't have much to say, maybe
Josh has more to say. Actually I know he does because I already read his website.
Goal for tomorrow: watch Friends and Scrubs! Yay! I know, I know, what a terrible goal- to watch t.v, but those are the best shows of all week!

Spring Sports
I'm playing indoor soccer right now, but that only takes place once a week. So, I was thinking it would be fun to play tennis, well Kate thought of it and suggested that we try it. Originally I wanted to do track, but I decided that's too much running, and maybe I'd try it next year. Plus, I can already sort of play tennis, and it's fun and I already have a raquet. It's also really nice outside!!
Goal for tomorrow: do well, or at least okay, on the math quiz

Sanders
I've been sort of lazy in my updates lately, but I haven't had much to say anyways. So today Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders came to talk to my school. I thought he did a really good job speaking and I agreed with most of what he said, at least I can't think of anything that I didn't agree with. He mainly talked about obviously the war in Iraq (which shouldn't really be called a war yet since congress hasn't voted on it), school funding, health taxes and he reminded us how important it is to vote. He actually talked about the media reporting being very right wingish (if that's a word, haha) which
Josh talked about on his site today too. It seems like there are a few huge corporations that have a monopoly on all the shows and news networks which isn't good.
Goal for tomorrow: do something productive (other than school that is)

Painting
I just finished my masterpeice. I had to paint a picture for art of one of Degas' paintings, and I just finished it. Yay. I haven't made an entry in a while, but I still don't have anything new to say.
Goal for tomorrow: do well in soccer game.

Libby Daghlian's Day-Off
Ha, yea dumb title, but I couldn't resist. Though unlike Ferris Bueller I actually did have today off. I actually did not turn on the t.v once today! I hung out with Abra and Kate and then played basketball with a bunch of people. I don't play basketball, but it was really fun. Oh, and I guess there are only a few more hours until Bush's forty-two hour ulimatum is up. Although Sadaam (is that how it's spelled?) has made it clear he isn't planning to leave, which isn't surprising. I don't think any dictator (espessially one like Sadaam Housein) would actually leave their country just because someone tells them too. He obviously thinks he and his country have a chance of, maybe not winning, but at least surviving the war. Only two more days until the weekend!
Goal for tomorrow: mmm, do something fun
Special messege to Kate: you still need to see "Ferris Bueller's Day-Off" haha

Science Test
I have to take science tests all day tomorrow at school. I don't really know what they're for, because they don't affect our grades at all, I guess it's just to make sure the school is teaching us everything or something like that. I any event, it means I get to get out of school at 1:15, or around then. Yay! I don't have to go to school at all on Wednesday, which is even more exciting.
Goal for tomorrow: hmm, I can't think of one...

Basketball Game
Our boys basketball team lost the championship game against U32, but it went into overtime! It was a really close game, I didn't go, but I listened to it on the radio at Alice's house. I have a soccer game today. So that should be exciting. Oh yes, and my wonderful friends planned a surprise birthday party for me and Beth, so thank you guys!
Goal for today: do well in soccer game.

Birthday Eve
My birthday is tomorrow! Yay! I should also mention that Beth and Myrto's birthdays are on Saturday! Tonight is the basketball team's big game, so I hope they win. I would go, but I don't feel like it. I'm sure they'll have plenty of fans there. I got my math test back and I got an average score, so that's good enough. (Average meaning a C, well if you want to be technical 73%, but who's counting?)
Goal for tomorrow: be fifteen!

Math Test
I had a math test today and I have no clue how well I did on it, but I don't care all that much, because I've been doing well lately. I also got the handbook with which I will study for the leaners permit test. It's going to be very dry reading, I can tell. I took the
online test last night and didn't do too badly considering I hadn't studied for it.
Just a remineder that my birthday is so soon! Yay!
Goal for tomorrow: get ready for it to be my birthday soon, haha.

Test
I took a geology test and I think I did pretty well. I don't want to be overconfident since I don't know what my grade is yet, but I know it can't be too bad, because the test wasn't very hard. Other than that, everything's about the same as it was yesterday.
Goal for tomorrow: excersize after school

More Soccer
Our soccer game went really well! Although we lost 8-2 (hee hee), I thought our goalie did a really good job considering it was her first time playing a soccer goalie. It was a lot of fun and good excersize. Then I got to come home and study for geology, which actually isn't too bad. I seem to know most of it, so I hope I do well.

Soccer game
I have an indoor soccer game pretty soon. I haven't played soccer in a year, so I'm a little nervous, but it'll be fun. I also have a unit test tomorrow in geology. Geology is a lot easier than astronomy, so I'm not too nervous.
Goal for tomorrow: do well on geology test.

Earthquake
If you go down a few entries, to the one titled "college" I think, you'll see there's a comment posted by Josh. Well I guess I have felt an earthquake bigger than I had thought. I was a baby so I obviously don't remeber it, but that's cool, I just thought I'd point that out.

Thursday
Yay, it's Thursday. Thursday's, while they may seem dull to some, are basically one of the best days of the week! All the good t.v shows are on (meaning Friends and Scrubs, and for some-not me-survivor, CSI and the like), it's the day before Friday and the week is basically over. The only downside is teachers like to give the most homework on Thursdays. Also, today is Emmett (Fitzgerald's) birthday! So happy birthday Emmett. (My birthday is a week from tommorrow if you were wondering).
I just finished "To Kill a Mockingbird" and it was such a good book! I really liked it. If you haven't read it (but I think everyone who reads my website has) then you should read it.
Lastly, you can read about yesterday's protest. Unfortunatly the website doesn't seem to have the picture which is the more interesting part of it, but the article's interesting too.
Goal for tomorrow: find a ride home from school because my backpakc's insanel heavy.

College
I'm going to copy
Josh and say good job to Martha and Josh's brother Adam for getting into college! Since I just read it on his site.
Ah yes, and I guess there was a big earthquake in California. It was 5.4 on the richter scale. Which is 32 times greater than the only earthquake I've ever experienced. Vermont doesn't get many earthquakes.

Protest
So a bunch of kids at school organized a protest against the war today. I went to part of it, but then the protest group left school to protest downtown and I decided not to go with them. I sort of wish I had now, but I'm glad I at least went to part of it. I'm not sure exactly who will respond to the protest. It'll probably get some newspaper coverage and the like, but even if only the people in the Montpelier area hear it, I think any protest will help. Obviously Bush will go to war no matter what, but at least we can say we tried.
There were some kids at the protest who were there only to get out of class, but I think the majority of the students actually felt strongly enough about not going to war and not supporting the Bush administration that they were willing to miss classes for it. I was actually really impressed that the people who were adressing the group (most were just listening) actually knew what they were talking about and knew exactly what it was about the Bush administration and the war that they didn't like. I think the rest of it, when I wasn't there was just showing all the people downtown (and probably the legislators at the State House) that they didn't want to go to war. Anyways, that was the most exciting thing that happened today, so it was a fun first day back at school.
Goal for today: go to bed early so waking up won't be too terrible

Well, it's the last day of vacation which is bad for my site because it means I might not be able to update as frequently, but good for my site because I might have more to actually update about.

baby
Well, if you've checked
Josh's website recently you'd know that he and Kara are having a baby! Yay. My name being Libby and all, I've taken the liberty of naming their yet-to-be-born child Libby, if it's a girl and Libbo if it's a boy. It makes perfect sense, though they haven't quite warmed up to the idea yet, I'm confident that by August, no other name than "Libbo" will be acceptable. :)
Goal for today: ummm, do something

Snow
I built a snowman today. I had been inside reading all day when I decided I should go outside. Winter's almost over, not really, but vacation is and I don't want to completely miss my opportunity to play in the snow. Only 13 more days until my birthday, well twelve not counting today. So, I still haven't read the Nanny Diaries, that Kate wants me to read, but I am making signifigant progress in "To Kill a Mocking Bird." It's a really good book so far.
Goal for tomorrow: don't sit around all day

14 days
Wow, it's finally March. March has many wonderful things in store:
a) My birthday in 14 days
b) Warmer tempartures
c) The beggining of the last 4 months of school
d) The coming of Spring, which leads to Summer, which leads to fall, which leads to another great winter ending in March
e) And lastly, 14 days until my birthday!!!
I will admit, I have been lazy in updating my site, but I'm on vacation, so it doesn't really matter. Sadly, there are only three more days of vacation (not including today) and I still have to paint a picture of one of Degas' paintings (lucky me), but that shouldn't actually take that long. Until next time, I'm Libby Daghlian, reporting for daghlian.net/lib
Goal for tomorrow: I don't need a goal because I'm still on vacation
