I Got my Shot

As you can see from the title, I did in fact get my shot. It didn't hurt at all, a little achy, but nothing to complain about. I also got my passport re-newed. The office was closed, but my mom told them to renew our passports right then, so they did. Well, I must go finish my important t.v watching!

Goal for tomorrow: paint a picture (for school)

Shot

Ahh, today I have to get a tetanus-diphtheria shot. Shots are always so spread out that I can't remeber if they really do hurt or not. Usually I guess they don't, it's just waiting for the shot that's annoying. I can't wait until I'm old and I don't have to get shots. Then again, you probably have to get just as many shots when you're old which is terrible.

Goal for today: get a tetanus-diphtheria shot

Movie

I watched a really weird movie at Molly and Kate's hosue last night, with Molly, Kate and Ruthie. It's called Simone, and it was about this freak guy who was a director and got this like computer person thing, anyhow the actress "Simone" who was the computer thing, everyone thought she was real and so on, and the movie was basically how he explained why no one ever saw her in person and stuff like that. Actually, if you think about it, it's kind of the opposite of the movie the Truman Show, which if you don't know, was about a guy who was born on a t.v set and grew up thinking it was real. Anyways, they're sort of opposites because in one case, the whole world thinks Simone is real, but she's fake and in the other case Truman thinks the whole world is real, but it's really fake. Anwyays, neither of them were very good movies, just entertaining to watch. This whole entry was in response to Molly and Kate's wonderful comment on my website!!

4th Day of Vacation

Well, as you can see from the title, it's the fourth day of vacation. Hmm, well I've already run out of things to say. Hopefully Josh will update his site soon. Oh, yes, well here's a wonderful accomplishment, I haven't gone running/jogging since the beggining of ski season, but last night, with Kate and Ruthie, in an attempt to reach the video store before it closed, we ran all the way from the high school (from a basketball game) to the video store in only 5 minutes. For those of you who don't know how far that is (although I assume most of you do) it's... well I can't estimate so I guess we'll never know. But, I was impressed that I could run that far since I haven't excersized in so long!!! (It's in between sports seasons, that's my excuse)

Goal for today: write an email to Claire on what is hopefully still her adress, and... excersize....

Monday

I watched part of the Grammy's last night, and yea, there was nothing really amazing about it, all the normal people. Oh, yes I reached my goal for today, I did something productive, I washed the dishes!! Oh but it doesn't end there, I plan on doing other useful things today.

Goal for the rest of today: go to the basketball game, and.... do other fun stuff.

Vacation

Yay, I am officially on vacation. Actually, I was planning on being in MA right now, but I decided to come home today, mainly because I have a stuffy nose and I can't stand stuffy noses. Not that I couldn't have dealt with a stuffy nose in Boston, but I needed the clean Vermont air. Anyways, that's all for today.

Goal for tomorrow: do something productive

2 days until vacation

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMETT! I have yet to shovel the walk way, and it actually looks like I don't need to. Next time it snows I will. Well, hmm, not much more to update I guess.

Goal for tomorrow: go for a jog

3 days till vacation

There are only three days until vacation, depending on how you're counting, if you count today as one day, then there are four, but i'm starting from tomorrow, which makes it three. Also, tomorrow is Emmett's birthday (my brother Emmett). Yay! Wow, and my birthday is less than a month away :). So exciting. Oh, and yes I did finish my homework right when I got home from school, well actually no, that's a lie, but the only reason I didn't do it right away is because cosine is hard. But now I understand. I would type out the whole equation, but I don't feel like it and I don't think anyone is dying to find out how to find the angles of non-right triangles.

Goal for tomorrow: shovel walk-way! (yay, i'm so helpful.)

5 days until Vacation

Yay, not long until vacation, I'm half really excited for vacation, but I'm half not. I like the break from school, but I tend to get really bored during the day. I guess I'll have assignments to work on though, like imitating one of Degas' paintings (for art, lucky me....). Also, once I get used to not being in school, it'll be time to go back, which is always sort of a pain, but oh well. In any event, my birthday is a little under a month away which is very exciting. Although, Emmett's (my brother Emmett, not to be confused with any other Emmett) birthday is in like two days!

Goal for tomorrow: do my homework right when I get home from school (that's an ambitious goal, I'll let you know tomorrow if I've acheived it.)

Earlier, I said I was looking at josh's sight, that should have been josh's site.

Saturday

Hmm, I seem to have misplaced my rolling stones and van halen cd's. If you're looking for a wonderfully amazing book to read, you should read Misha, by Misha Defonseca. I guess that's all I have to update about.

Goal for today: look for misplaced cd's

Duct Tape

I was just reading josh's sight and he mentioned that whole thing about everyone buying duct tape and I thought I'd mention it too. I don't really have much to say about it, except that I really don't think duct tape will protect you from much of anything. I think it's really funny that duct tape sales went up so much though. But read Josh's sight, cause I agree with what he said.

Valentines Day

Yay, it's finally the weekend!!! It's also Valentines day, or el dia de San Valentín, we had to make Spanish valentines in Spanish. Wow, I guess I actually don't have anything else to say, other than I'm glad it's the weekend.
Goal for tomorrow: sleep in! yay! and maybe do something

Ski Meet

Ahh, there's a ski meet tomorrow and it's a 5k meet! (Translates to about 3.6 miles I think.) I do get to miss school though, but I actually like Wednesday's at school. I just forgot what else I was going to say, so I guess that's it for today. (That rhymed!) If my webpage wasn't interesting enough you can visit my dad's sciency page or my brother's pagey page.

Goal for tomorrow: Have fun at ski meet

Times Argus Article

I just read an article in the local News Paper about Howard Dean. The article, written by Michael Colby depicts Dean as being a pro-business, anti-development type of guy, which I don't really think he is. To be perfectly honest, I probably don't know enough about what has been accomplished in Vermont over the past 11 years to really argue what Michael Colby is saying, but I can fairly say that Michael Colby's report was biased, poorly researched and wildly inaccurate.

"As Dean goes national he may be able to fool an Iowan or two with his eco-record, but Vermonters have seen enough to know that being green isn't easy for Dean." (Last paragraph.)

Well apparently being a good writer isn't easy for Michael Colby. But that's just my opinion, you can read the article yourself at timesargus.com

Sick

I was sick yesterday with a fever! I didn't feel very sick, but according to the thermometer, I was. My terrible sickness went away by this morning though so I had to go to school, and I did reach my goal of getting up on time. I got to gym early just so I could spend the class killing my delicate arms with the stupid volleyball. Oh well. I did however get to miss ski practice cause I was sick, and any of you skiers who think I was faking sick, you're wrong I'm definelty sick. :) In any event I don't have much homework tonight which is very exciting, and the little homework I do have looks easy. (I haven't looked at math yet though, so who knows.)

Goal for tomorrow: umm... update my website

Sunday

Well, sadly I didn't make it skiing today, but I'm planning to go over vacation in about two weeks. I did on the other hand get to do homework! Lucky me. I guess that's all I have to say today!

Goal for tomorrow: wake up on time

Ski Meet

Well the ski meet yesterday was actually not terrible, much to my surprise. It wasn't terribly cold (except it was kind of) and I did pretty well! It was a 2.5k classical meet and I got 12:45 minutes. So that was fun. Tomorrow I might go downhill skiing for the first time this year which is exciting. Other than that I plan to relax and continue thinking about which spring sport to play. I want to run track, because it looks like fun, except I cannot run, it's impossible. So I'll have to work on that.

Goal for tomorrow: go skiing

Entry

I couldn't think of a wonderfully creative title for my entry today, but it will have to do. Well, my ski meet today was postponed and now it will be happening tomorrow. I don't really want to go, but I guess it will be fun... I'm also in the process of deciding which spring sport to do, if any. I'm torn between tennis, track, nothing and maybe lacross? Except no, I don't really want to play lacross. Anyways, I'll figure it out. In the meantime, I have math homework to complete.

Goal for tomorrow: Go to the ski meet

I think I want to make my website fancier, because it's fun typing in all the codes to get links, new paragraphs, etc. I'll have to ask Josh. I think everyone should have a website because they're fun to read, but more fun to make.

Space Shuttle

I meant to make a comment about the unfortunate destruction of the space shuttle. Apparently there's only about a 98% chance that they'll re-enter safely. So that's sad that that happened, although they probably don't need to even have people on the space ships because they can control them electronically. I guess people think it's more exciting to actually experience it themselves though. Anyhow, I don't know much about spaceships, although I do know about space because I just finished a class on astronomy.

Lead Paint

I haven't been able to update my webpage lately because I was in MA over the weekend helping my brother with his new house. I peeled off the wallpaper and moved windows from one room to another, I was obviously a big help. :) I also got a splintery splinter in my hand as a souvenir. It's actually a small splinter and I can't feel it at all. I'm planning on playing indoor soccer at some point which is very exciting. Valentines day is about eleven days away and all my teahcers were so kind as to make it the due date for about a billion things! Yay!

Goal for tomorrow: Do ok in the ski meet

By the way, I got a 97% on a math quiz! Very exciting. I just realized I didn't give an explanation for the title "lead paint," the reason my brother is working on is new house is to get the lead paint out, because in case you haven't heard, lead paint is dangerous...
