Back to School

Despite vacation being over, today was a very good day! It was good mainly beacuse of the weather, I think it got to around 70 degrees today. In tennis we ran for 25 minutes, but it actually wasn't all that bad. I was really thirsty, but aside from that it was okay. Now, it's almost 6:00, but it's still bright out, so I don't want to start on my homework yet, plus I don't have that much.

I visited my new neice this weekend, Alison, and she's very cute! She's pretty tiny too. Oh, and also happy Greek Easter, even though it was yesterday.

Goal for tomorrow: go for a jog, that is if we don't run during tennis pratice.

Vacation

Well, it's still vacation, for four more days. I'm leaving for Boston tomorrow to visit my new neice Alison. Luckily for me, I haven't let my homework pile up too much. I'm in the process of writing a childrens book about the book "Kaffir Boy." For those of you who have read Kaffir Boy, or saw my entry describing it, you must understand how hard it is trying to put that story in the form of a childrens book. Not only because of the subjects adressed in the book, apartheid, poverty, etc., but also because it's so long!! Once I get the writing part done though (which I'm very close to), then all I'll have left to do is draw the pictures! Yay!

Goal for tomorrow: finish all the written parts of my homework

Alison

Congratulations to Melissa and Aaron on their new baby Alison!! Yay, I'm an aunt again. I wasn't here this weekend to update my site because I was helping Emmett with his house. Well, I "supervised." So in other words I didn't really do anything but it was fun and my excuse is that I'm sick. I have a stuffy nose. Oh and happy Easter, even though yesterday was Easter. And happy passover. Hmm, I'm not sure if you're supposed to say "happy passover," but oh well. Anyways, I'm on vacation now!

Goal for tomorrow: go for a jog

Vacation

I'd just like to point out that it's now vacation! Yay! If you've been keeping up with Josh's site at all, you'd know that he's apparently getting up really early. Well I'd have to say I'm about the opposite. I'd be lucky if I could get up at 8 or maybe even 9 without an alarm clock (well okay, I could wake up at 9 on my own). But my point is that I'm not a morning person. Then again, maybe someday I will be. Because as I recall, Josh used to be quite the late sleeper himself, and if I were to follow in the same pattern maybe I'll be able to get up on time someday too! Lucky me, I get to leave for Boston at 7:30 tomorrow morning, all thanks to my Dad who wouldn't let me miss school today to drive up. :) Oh well.

Goal for tomorrow:help Emmett with his house

There you go Kate and Alice, that entry is a little different than the usual. ( if you don't remember what I'm talking about just think about math today, that should jog your memory.)

Weather

Well, I guess my days of business are actually over, because I just had that big project to do yesterday, and it's done! So now I'm almost onto vacation. The weather out is so nice, I love it! It's the perfect weather if your excersizing, because if you're running around a lot, then you don't get over heated or freezing cold. You can wear a t-shirt and it's not cold, and then if you aren't moving you just wear a sweatshirt and it's perfect.

Goal for tomorrow: do soemthing outside! (if it's nice out, if not..... then..... do something else fun!)

Oh, and to all the billions of people going to Florida or North Carolina, or wherever, have fun!

Busy

I have been very busy lately with projects and tennis, so I haven't been able to update as often. I probably won't update very much in the next few days, but vacation is starting soon and I"m sure to have plenty of updating time

Goal for today: do a good job on my science project

Soccer Game

Earlier today I had an indoor soccer game and it was really fun. We lost 2-3, but we only had 3 subs for half of the game and 4 subs for the rest, so I thought we did a really good job. Also, I'm done with all my homework and it's still light out (at 6:24 PM)!!!!

Tennis Skirt

I just got a tennis skirt today and tennis shoes and they're really cool so i'm excited. I also have a soccer game today which should be fun. Aside from that I have about a million projects to work on for school. Luckily, they aren't all due at the same time.

Goal for tomorrow: Finish half of the science project (that's pretty ambitious for me, but it's due on Thursday so I might as well.)

France

First of all, welcome back from France Alice!! The other thing regarding France, besides Alice's return from there, is that Montpelier has lined the streets with American flags all of a sudden. So now there is a car driving around with a huge French flag on the top. It's pretty funny. I also hear Josh got his hair done a little "fancier" than usual. :) I'm sure it looks great Josh. Apparently, I only have this week and next week before I get another vacation! Wow, I might as well not go to school we get so many vacations. (not that I'm complaining.)

Goal for tomorrow: Watch Friends and Scrubs (because I missed them last week.)

Links

I've decided I need to have more interesting links of my page other than just Josh's site. Not that his isn't interesting, because it is, but it's the only link I ever have. I spend plenty of time online, so I suppose if I stopped chatting and checking my email all the time I'd probably be able to find some pretty interesting sites. So, I'll have to work on that. In the meantime, I haven't looked at it yet today, but this site's always pretty funny and I suggest you look at it.

Projects

So i just finished the book Kaffir Boy (Josh I didn't understand your underlining directions afterall, need more explanation.) and it was really good. For those of you who aren't taking Mrs. Butterfeild's global 9 class, I'll give you a summary.

Kaffir Boy, written by Mark Mathabane, is a story about Mr. Mathabane's life growing up in aparthied South Africa during the 70's. I thought it was really interesting espeically since I've never really learned anything about Africa that didn't have to do with the slave trade. So I would reccomend it.

So about the title of my entry, "Projects," I have about a million projects due in all different classes. They aren't due for a while but will take some time, I think I'm gonna spend this weekend getting a lot of them done.

Goal for tomorrow: mmm, I guess go to tennis

Oh, by the way, I'd like to congratulate Josh on not mentioning politics at all on his site today! Good job Josh!

Montpelier vs. Solons

The two Montpelier teams played eachother in indoor soccer today and it was pretty fun! Last time, my team (Montpelier) lost to Solons by a lot, but this time we actually won 6-4. It was a really close game. So that was fun. I'm done all my homework except for reading Kaffir Boy, which I need to do. I know books are supposed to be underlined, but I don't know how to underline stuff on here, I'll have to ask Josh.

Goal for tomorrow: go to tennis

Baby Shower

My sister, Melissa is having her baby shower here tomorrow. I have a bunch of relatives coming up very soon, soon as in like a few hours. So this should be fun. Other than that, not much is going on.

Goal for tomorrow: finish the book "Kaffir Boy" for social studies

Long Weekend

Yay, it's a long weekend, this is so fun. I have tennis tonight from 8-10 though, which is kind of crazy, but I don't have to get up early tomorrow morning, so it's okay.

Goal for tomorrow: hang out with alice before she's off to France!!

Two Days Off

I have been so bad about updating lately. Oh my.. So anyways, I have Thursday and Friday off, lucky me! I'm sure most of you have heard about the SARS (severe acute respritory syndrom) thing that's spreading pretty quickly. Well, two cases of it have apparently been reported in Vermont. I'm not worried though, because it doesn't seem like there's much you can really do about something like that. Despite having two days off from school, I don't have two days off from tennis. That's okay though, because I like tennis, it's really fun so far.

Goal for tomorrow: play tennis and get someone to hang out with me before tennis otherwise I'll be really bored.
