Toe

So some friends of mine and myself took a nice dip down at VINS this evening and the water was quite pleasant (as Alice would say: "oh my god, this is totally a bath.com!" a comment that was quickly shot down by all, except myself of course because it was like a nice luke warm bath, and .com is the most fun thing to say). Anyhow, upon jumping in, I somehow greatly midjudged the depth of the water into which I was jumping and ended up slightly damaging my poor little toe. Not my pinkie toe, and not my big toe, and no, not the toe next to the big toe. Instead, the victim was a toe which is seldom mentioned, so under appreciated and often.... forgotton. It was.... the toe next to my pinkie toe. The poor little fellow was just expecting to be nicely cooled off my the water, but instead, it found itself smashed harshly onto the slimey surface of a rock. It got a little cut (but it's not so little when you're already the second to littlest toe) and started to swell. I feared for it's health, but it was strong and it perservered. It's now resting and will soon be thoroughly cleaned by nurse Libby (I had a game of monopoly to play and a tv show to watch before I could get to cleaning it, all very important tasks mind you). So anyhow, I'm off to bed, where my little toe and I will rest and try to forget the traumatizing events that plagued our evening (not so traumatizing for me, but more for my toe).

VINS

So to diverge a bit from my usual day, I ended up spending a good portion of my day yesterday at VINS. I started off the day with miss Katie Sease doing some volunteer work there. We worked very hard for roughly two hours clearing a trail, impressive isn't it? Anyways, after that we met up with some of our friends and went swimming (and just hung out there, VINS that is, for a while). Later that evening, I found myself back at VINS for a meeting about working there as a counselor later in the summer. Though I was very happy to return to my average day today (which hasn't consisted of much thus far), and look forward to seeing Melissa, Aaron and Alison later on!

Schedule

Well I've finally done it, I've finally returned my schedule to that of a normal person. As the beginning of summer gripped hold of me last week, I ended up staying up rather late one night, which in turn threw off my whole schedule by about three hours. (No dad, this doesn't give you an excuse to lecture me about bedtimes anymore than you aready do). Anyhow, at the end of last week, I took to setting my alarm for 9:00 so I would have a chance of awaking at that hour. Well, I didn't, I woke up to turn off the alarm so that I could fall back asleep. But today I finally did it, I woke up at 9:00 and stayed awake! (Thus allowing me to watch both episodes of Dawson's Creek, I know I know, my life is simply fascinating.)

Bla

So Josh has a good excuse for his lack of updates (work of course). Whereas my only excuse would be lack of inspiration. But fear not, I'll think of something soon. Oh and speaking of Josh, his birthday is on Monday! So that's all for now.

Kansas

Oh and also, my dad is in Kansas right now looking at his fossils from Antarctica! Maybe he'll return with some pictures or something which I could then cleverly display on my site.

Packaging

I just revieced my new, inexpensive bathing suit in the mail (I mention that it was inexpensive because I've gotten quite a hard time for buying a bathing suit a while ago that was a little on the expensive side). Anyhow, I was very impressed by the packaging. They fit two bathing suits (my mom got one too) into a very tiny package that made perfect sense. Because a lot of times you'll order like one sock and it'll come in a giant cardboard box with fifty thousand more catalogs and all sorts of stuff. So I just thought I'd share, that's all for now.

Ta Da

I'm back! I actually didn't go anywhere, but my website temporarily did. I was shocked last week to find that all my emails were being sent back to me. To further investigate the matter, I followed my usual steps in case of emergency: call Josh. Although, to my surprise (I was surprised until I remembered I already knew) he was in California! Eventually he got home and explained the situation (explanation can be found on his site). So I had to spend a few days without email, siigghh. So my friends got a break from my usually relentless emails. And you, my dear readers, got a break from my ever entertaining site. My emails are like a more random, less thought out version of my site.

Anyways, I've been having a nice summer thus far. It's starting to sink in that it may actually be summer. Finals already seem like they happened about a million years ago (they were last week). So that's all the updating that I care to do for now, if something more intersting comes up, and I feel inclined to write about it, I will.

Nice Weekend

Well judging by the title, I'm sure you've already concluded that I had a nice weekend. You would be correct in concluding that. The weather yesterday was superb, which lead to my studying outside. Finals will take place this coming week, so I've been doing some studying. I believe I'll be suffieciently prepared for all my finals, or I hope so. Today, the weather was a little less perfect, but still very nice. So my family and I went canoeing. Well dad and I canoed, and Martha and mom kayaked. It was quite lovely. We saw two Great Blue Herons, a turtled (I was the only one who saw that actually, right before our canoe ran it over), many little ducks and ducklings, two beavers and various other birds. So as I had anticipated, it turned out to be a most splendid outing. Oh and happy birthday to Jon!

Alice

This is a day late, but happy birthday Alice!!

Along with being the day after Alice's birthday, and the day Harry Potter came out (which I really need to see, but will wait till it's slightly less crowded to do so), but it was also the last day of actual classes. Now we just have finals to look forward to, yay! And although I do have more to say, I really am a little on the tired side so I'll be going to bed now.
