Wait.... Wait.... Wait....

WHY IS MONTPELIER SO BUSY??? I went to La Brioche this afternoon with Alice, Abra and Kate and waited in line for an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. I'll forgive them though because it seemed like maybe something important was happening because they had about 10 times more food than they usually have. The traffic on the other hand I absolutely will not forgive because it was INSANE. I went the least trafficy way I could think of (thanks Elm St. for collapsing and taking away the fastest route home), and I still sat through one light FOUR times before getting through. I did that avoiding downtown, which was even worse. Unforgivable. It's not like this is Boston or New York and therefore we should never have traffic that bad. Sigh, I'm slowly recovering from my traffic rage though, I think I'll be alright. Yes, I know, if I was smart I wouldn't drive at all, but then I would probably be a hunch-back for life thanks to my ridiculous backpack, plus my friends would have no ride. So in this wonderful little "we say we're concious of the environment but not really because we all drive everywhere because there's no option for cheap, consistent and reliable public transportation" town, I must drive, if not for the sake of my friends, then for the sake of my poor back and arriving places on time.

Bravo to Emmett by the way who has taken to riding his bike to work! I'm going to attempt to ride my bike more this summer, but first I have to get over my fear of being run over while riding on the road. Thank goodness it's almost vacation (again)!

Slushy Snow

Where did all this gross snow come from? I looked out the window at lunch today and felt like ski team should be starting up about now. Oh well, better a little snow than tornados, right? I'm starting to gear up a little for the upcoming AP tests (of which I will be taking four, oh my, so many). So there is a chance my entries may become sparse and boring. Not that I will be spending every waking moment preparing, far from likely, I just have a feeling there will be a lot of work to do between now and the beginning of May. But then it's all fun and games till graduation.

Oh, quick anecdote from lunch: Tyler ripped an apple in half and then everyone wanted to try it (everyone meaning Jon and Emmett) and in the end there were a lot of apples ripped in half on the table (some better than others) and it was just really strange, and funny (no worries, they didn't go to waste completely, people ate some and the rest were composted).
