Mini Break
Due to my serious slacking on updating this site recently, I decided I am going to take Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off officially so I can build up my updating energy again. So we'll be back in business before long!

Yurt
I slept in a yurt last night with the high school outing club and it was really fun. Unfortunately, I'm too tired to update you further, I'll elaborate tomorrow.

Father Jokes
Classic Dad comment in response to my latest entry: "You know Lib, the reason your falling under the spell of this cold is probably cause you have an immune system of steel, it'd probably be better if it was a biological one."

Sick Lib
My immune system of steel is finally, after much energy spent fighting it off, giving into this cold that's been going around. I don't mind it aside from the congestion and sneezing. Oh and the boys basketball team beat U32 last night, which was pretty neat. Anyways, now I'm off to find a tissue in order to stop this sniffling.

Vroom Vroom (And Other Such Car Noises)
After finally having given up the mix (of music) that I made for my mom, I realized today driving down to school that I hadn't picked up another cd for my car. So I decided maybe it would be a nice change to drive in silence for a bit, since my day is usually filled up with music (in the car, on the computer, while falling asleep) and the rest that isn't filled up with music is filled with the chatter of friends, teachers or tv. I didn't notice it too much on the way to school because I was in a rush, but on the way home I most certainly did. Not only is my car kind of loud, but you can also hear sounds outside of the car, like if someone yells outside (not to me, just randomly) and I'm driving it's really startling . So all in all I think I'll stick to the music, although I prefer listening to it quietly if I'm in a driving situation that requires more concentration, but it nicely drowns out the annoying noises of cars.

Midterms and Headlights
Yay I'm finished with my ap us and chemistry midterms! AP US was pretty difficult (like a gazillion multiple choice questions that I didn't know the answer to), although I think my essay (about the womans rights movement in the 19th century) was pretty good. Chemistry was difficult, but I think I passed (knock on wood, except I mean just kidding Dad, of course I passed! heh heh...). But regardless, I did spend a lot of time studying for it so I at least feel more comfortable with the material.
On the subject of headlights, I've decided I hate it when cars don't have their headlights on during the day. Not so much because they're hard to see (I cant see them fine), it just looks gross to have those orange lights on the side of the headlights on and not the headlights themselves. A very insignificant observation, but worth commenting on.
Which brings me to another topic not mentioned in the title of this entry. I debated for a moment putting "in my opinion" after the last statement in the previous paragraph, but obviously decided against it. I always spend a moment or two debating over whether or not to include that phrase after some sentences on this site, but the final decision not to was initially influenced by my 10th grade social studies teacher, Mr. Castle (who's one of my favorite teachers, and no I'm not trying to be a brown noser here, he doesn't even know I have a website). Anyways, he always emphasized when explaining the criteria for our essays in his class to not use the word "I" or "in my opinion," because it's obviously your opinion if you wrote the paper. Plus it sounds like a much stronger statement when you exclude the whole opinion bit. Anyhoo, I'm off to think about maybe studying more for math later. Okay, I lied, I'm going to go relax and not think about school for a while, but then perhaps after I've completed that task, I will in fact study. One just never knows what may occur in an evening with Lib.

Return of the Lib (to school)
I got a nice slow start to school yesterday when we got a delay because of the ice (which is a result of this very, very un-winter like weather) which, in turn, resulted in classes only being a half hour. Well then, I will update again when I think of more to say.

Sonia Dada
I had a wonderful last night of vacation (not including tonight) out at a Sonia Dada concert at Higher Ground. It was really awesome, their voices are incredible, so that was a lot of fun (thanks Al for the ticket!). But, it also inevitable led to me waking up really late again. Hopefully I'll be able to wake up early with some ease tomorrow morning as I shift back into the school mode. Hope everyone who was on vacation had a nice one!
