Dissecting
Although there are only three or so weeks of school left (not including finals), it doesn't really feel like it's winding down at all, which it shouldn't, because three weeks is a decent amount of time. Anyways, so our last unit in biology is dissecting (hence the title). So far we've cut open and explored the bodies of a worm (which, in my opinion, are just as gross dead as alive), a crayfish and a grasshopper. We'll be moving onto bigger specimens before long including a shark (not the huge sharks you see on tv of course, just a good old little one), and a pig (ew). So far I haven't been at all sqeamish about disecting, but I have managed to avoid doing any actual cutting or touching of the specimen myself. It's not that I'm grossed out by it, because I'm not. I just don't like getting a) nasty chemical stuff and b) nasty dead animal stuff on my hands and then touching my pencil and my papers and stuff. Of course I always do wash my hands after and would if I were participating more, but still, ick. Anyways, I plan to make more of an effort to do some actual disecting.
Also, just a quick update. I've been paying attention in math still, and I still get it, so yay. That's all for now.
