I realized pretty quickly that I was being inconsistent with my speed because I looked down one second at the speedometer and it said 10 mph and I looked down a second later and it said 20 mph. But, I corrected this problem pretty quickly.
The second event of the driving experience took place on a hill. Ok, so it never really occured to me that a car would just roll down a hill (haha, I know I'm smart). So we started down this long hill (not too steep, just long) and I had my foot on the gas (this is an automatic) and I suddenly realized the car was going a lot faster than it previously had been (ok, probably only like 25 mph, but it feels fast when you're used to 10 mph). So Mr. Morely (the drivers ed teacher) starts going "Okay, now break Lib. Break. Lib, break. Break" over and over, haha, and I was just kind of laughing, but I did put on the break and made a nice smooth stop at the bottom of the hill. I would also like to report that my stops are noticably smoother this week than they were last week, who knows why, they just are.
So, I'm very excited to observe Alice driving in a residential area this Friday, it should be fun. Also, Alice and I are starting tennis lessons this week! Yay! I'm looking forward to that, it should be fun. Oh and lastly, I'm happy to report that in the last two races I've been in (I'm talking about skiing now) I've done pretty well. My technique is a lot better this year than it was last year which makes a huge difference and I think I'm in better shape then I had been in previously. I guess it probably also helps that I actually ski during practice, haha. And we haven't been talking "stop and chat" breaks as often as we used to. Today was an absolutely beautiful day for skiing though, very warm. The whole team went up to Morse Farm (with the expection of me and Alice because we had to leave early to go to tap), so we skied around at the High School. So it was pretty fun. Alright, well that does it for my update today.
