So I really can't believe it's already Sunday. Shocking. By this coming Thursday, I will have been gone for two whole weeks. That's really surprisingly to me actually. It doesn't feel like it's zooming by, but it sort of is. Oh and welcome home Kate! Although I'm not in Vermont to actually welcome Kate home, I can appreciate her return via email. Myrto commented today that my experience in Paros is very different than hers ever was in that I contact my friends a lot more often. If I were here without access to email, I would survive fine, however I can't resist it when the option is there.
I've also been happily anticipating the arrival of Alice, because that will inevitable mean shopping! I have not, if you can believe it, looked into a single shop since I got here. I've been busy with going to the beach (twice a day in order to keep the kids out of the sun during the middle of the day, very tiring, but it makes for a nice tan), getting ice cream, and getting sleep. Also Alice is notorious for carrying cameras, everywhere! And I would like to have some proof, other than a long absence, that I was actually in Paros. Because I haven't broken out a camera yet. I don't know, some people are camera people, some people aren't. It's just that whenever I have a camera I feel really obligated to be taking pictures and therefore don't get to enjoy the place as much, because I'm worrying so much about getting pictures of it. Also dad shall arrive with Alice (on Friday), which means pictures as well.
Oh, one last, pretty irrelevant and unimportant comment, there are hardly any mirrors in the house here. I have three tiny little mirrors, but pretty much, I'm mirrorless. I don't really know what I have to say about that though, except that it's different from home. One difference it makes is that I spend much less time getting ready to go places. Much less time. Hm, well those are my thoughts for tonight!
