Today

I had a very pleasant day today. It began at 10:something AM, when Sharon from VINS came over to show me what she needed me to do for volunteering. Kate and I are helping out for the Bugfest that will be at VINS August 1st. Following that, I went to my hair cut appointment. You can relax, I didn't cut my hair short. I did trim it though, and got some nice layers and angles to add a little texture. I'm very pleased. Josh was saying the other week at the Cape that I needed to trim my hair, and he was correct.

After the hair cut, Kate and I came back to my house and began sewing bug nets. We were very successful until the bobbin ran out of the thread and I couldn't remember how to put the thread on. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty fabulous sewer (haha, meaning I can work the machine), but I just couldn't remember. So we called it quits for the day (I'm going to work on them more tomorrow when Mother gets home from Capsian Lake). So then, in the reponse to the incredible heat (and because we had already made plans to do so) we went swimming down at VINS with Emmett.

Then I went to Emmett's and finally figured out how to throw a frisbee. Josh had taught me a long time ago, and then I didn't do it for a while. Then today Emmett and I were throwing it and he was like "try throwing it a little harder," and I did and then I could do it. So that was neat. I also decided that golf is pretty neat. We were hitting golf balls and out of the million that I hit, one wasn't too bad! So I was pleased. Anyhow, now I'm gearing up for a fabulous weekend with Grandpa and Madeline! So that's all for now.
