Never Ending Fever

Today marks the fifth day in a row that I've had a fever. Due to this state I've was unable to attend school today for the second time this week. Luckily for me though, I only had two classes today and they're generally easy classes. Although, I would like to take this time to express my disappointment in the schools ability to complie homework packets for their absent students. In theory, the school is supposed to give your teachers slips to fill out your homework that you parents can pick up so that you don't fall behind in work. Though unfortunately, I didn't recieve a homework packet today or Monday. Not, mind you, because I had no homework. It was quite the contrary actually, I had a report due in bio on Thursday (which I just completed), a math quiz on Thursday (which I'm not ready for), and math homework and Spanish homework as well.

I discovered this homework from calling a bunch of my friends. I had to call three I believe, because none of us are in all the same classes. So it worked out fine for me, but what about kids with no friends? First of all, that would suck. Secondly, you'd be out of luck when it came to collecting homework on the days you innocently missed due to an illness. Then again, I guess most of the time teachers have sympathy for you if you missed school unexpectedly because you were sick.

So, wrapping up, I hope my fever is gone by tomorrow so I can take that math quiz that I'm not prepared for! I think I'll go in first period to study though, not that studying at the last minute ever helps. My theory on studying is you either know it or you don't, and you don't really benefit from last minute cramming. Hopefully though, I do know this well enough that my early morning study session will serve as a reminder of stuff I already know.... I can only hope. Posted by lib at October 29, 2003 08:57 PM
