Friday Night

I got a terrible glimpse into the future last night when I was left to fend for myself at dinnertime. My parents were off at one movie, my sister at another and I was on my own. I had been out selling goldcards with Abra up until around 6 when we gave up (I only have 4 left to sell out of the 12 I began with).

Being home alone, bored and not wanting to fry my brain watching t.v, I opted to use the computer. I was online making plans for that night for about an hour an a half before I realized I was hungry and needed dinner. I left my instant messages waiting and wandered out to the kitchen in search of food. I stood for a while in front of the cabinets trying to decide what to eat before I looked over at the clock and realized I only had about ten minutes until I had to walk down to my friends house. So, I grabbed a bag of smartfood, some nasty Little Debbie type thing and an Iced Tea and headed back to the computer.

My "dinner" had to be eaten very hastily because I was quickly running out of time. Then, as I was finishing my Iced Tea I realized that I had made three different plans for the night. I had really intended to hang out with everyone I said I would, but the more I thought about it, the less possible I realized it was. So, I just went with the most planned out plan and walked down to Abra's house.

So all in all, my night turned out not at all as I had planned it, but a lot of fun anyways. And, I'm hoping that I'll learn how to make my self a somewhat decent dinner sometime before I have to go to college - decent meaning not noodles, cereal, junkfood, etc. So basically, it wasn't a very memorable night, but good enough to write an entry about. Nice, Lib. Let me point out that what's worse is when you finally figure out how to make two or three different meals for yourself, only to discover that you're sick of them after three weeks and you end up right back where you started from. Heh heh. Posted by: josh on August 25, 2003 09:06 AM
