In the mean time, think good thoughts about a parcel of land at the corner of County Road and Barnes Road. We are looking at a house there. If it pans out it will be sweet.
In other news, why not burn a flag? It is the recommended way to dispose of flags after their happy lives are up (as Aunt Louise would say). It should also be viewed as a celebration of the Constitution. In any case, it is just a symbol, not an icon. With symbols, if one is destroyed, many more can be made to take its place. Indeed, isn't that the proper way to respond to flag burning - have hundreds appear where the one vanished? Of course it is easier to make hundreds appear if the flag burning takes place in the USA. Those flag burnings elsewhere are out of our jurisdiction, I would think. Have there been any flag burnings in this country in recent memory?
