Lib is in NYC at Carnegie Hall to see her friend Abra (and many others) in the Vermont Youth Symphony Orchestra. Quite the do in Vermont as the locals have their burst of fame. I hope all goes well. Abra is off to Spain for a four month visit, after the concert. I hope she does well there, amongst the Spaniards (in the works, eh).
In a few days we will know if sister Beth and Brother-in-law Chuck's condo in Destin, FL, is still in one piece. Chuck, at least, is calm, in part since he is not in Destin at the moment.
On the political front, it is clear that Bush and cohorts are nothing more than simple liars. Lies about his National Guard record ( not wanting to become cannon fodder is fine, denying the truth of it is unforgiveable), lies about being compassionate in any known sense of the word, lies about the favors he paid to the Saudis after the NYC attacks (giving them a free pass while all other waited for the skys to be opened), lies about weapons of mass destruction, lies about reasons for attacking Iraq, lies about torture and the antecedents to same (making up terms like "enemy combatant, as if they mean anything), lies about the economy and his tax policies, lies about nearly everything. Need I point out that Bush is a liar. Perhaps Kerry should make a point of this (that Bush is a liar, get it?) in his campaign.
